Keswick and the
North Lakes region lies in the county of Cumbria
in the heart of England’s prettiest National Park
– the Lake District. Keswick is situated in a
lovely position, lying close to the shores of Derwentwater
and beneath the imposing 3000 ft Skiddaw. With a history
dating back to beyond Roman times, the small, traditional
market town now relies heavily on the income from visitors
to the area, and to a lesser extent, hill farming. Keswick’s
population can be anything between 5 000 in the winter
months to over 25 000 in the summer.
There are a number of attractive villages on the outskirts
of Keswick which are also highly desirable. These include
Grange-in-Borrowdale, Portinscale, Braithwaite, Applethwaite
and Threlkeld.
Whether you are looking to buy for
your primary residential property, a holiday home or
as an investment income, you can be assured that you
are buying in one of the most attractive and sought-after
places in the UK. |
